People who get their insurance through their employer should expect to see their premiums rise at least 5% in 2018; according to the National Business Group on Health as reported in Forbes. The Washington Post reports that large employers say health plans will cost more than $14,000 for an employee in 2018
But people who are self-employed or get their insurance through the ACA exchanges should expect to see increases more on the order of 30% according to reports in the Wall Street Journal.
For example; monthly premiums for California health insurance plans sold under the Affordable Care Act are expected to rise by an average of 12.5 percent next year according to ABC News.

Many people, especially the self-employed, are going to need to find other ways to meet healthcare needs. One approach that should work for many, is described on this page.
